Mandu (K St)

Yesoon and Danny Lee's homestyle Korean dining room in Mount Vernon Triangle, family run since 2006, in the MICHELIN Guide, and named for the pan fried dumplings that anchor the menu. The $40 Restaurant Week dinner is posted on Mandu's own site as a Baekban tray, an homage to traditional Korean table service with everything arriving at once: beef and pork mandu, chilled makguksu in a stone fruit cheong dressing, panchan, vegetable soon doobu, rice, and soy braised Andong jjim dak, with a vegetarian tray built the same way.
